MOUNTAIN BIKING: Laramie Rim Trail

← NE 22N 49W19CDDD3 ANGORA M1 22N 49W19CDDD3 ANGORA M1 Single Tracks →

Description

This is an out-and-back mix of gravel road, double- and single track that follows the rim of northeast Laramie from Roger Canyon Rd. to Willett Drive adjacent to the golf course; you can ride the pavement back if you want. It is not very technical, but has a few climbs. It offers a neat view of Laramie itself, and is easily accessible from any streets that end or border the northeast side of town. There is no official trail, trailhead, or trail marks. There are trail offshoots to neighborhoods, and other roads. People use this trial to walk dogs, run, and sometimes ride dirtbikes on the western end; lazy people drive their dogs up here, drop them off, and let them run after the vehicle. This is an easily accessible ride from in town, if you don't want to load up and head out to the other 'real' rides around Laramie (e.g., Happy Jack, Vedauwoo, or Medicine Bow Mountains) for an after-work ride.

Directions

In Laramie, WY you can access this trail from Willett Dr. north of the golf course, or from just east of Roger Canyon Rd. You can also access this area from north 30th street.
